This specification covers steel sheets used in the manufacture of corrugated steel pipe for storm sewers, culverts, drains, and similar uses. The sheet is metallic coated by the hot-dip process. Material for this use is furnished in coils, flat in cut lengths. The Zn-5A1-MM coating is available in two coating classes, the Class A which are minimized coating structure and Class B which are regular coating structure. The base metal cast or product analyses shall conform to the required chemical compositions for sulfur, and sum of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon. The zinc coating, zinc-aluminum-mischmetal alloy coating, aluminum-zinc alloy coating, aluminum coating type 2 and aluminum coating type 1 shall conform to the required coating bath composition. The metallic coating shall conform to the required mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength and elongation.
