Tato norma platí pro sestavy polotuhých koaxiálních kabelů pracující v příčně elektromagnetickém vidu (TEM). Předmětovou specifikaci lze připravit vložením dat do formuláře vzorové předmětové specifikace národní normalizační organizací, schváleným výrobcem nebo uživatelem. Norma se musí používat spolu s EN 60966-1:1999 a s EN 60966-4:2003.
