Tato norma uvádí odměrnou metodu pro stanovení stříbra v materiálech považovaných za homogenní. Obsah stříbra v analyzovaném vzorku by měl ležet nejlépe mezi 100 a 999,0 %.
Ryzosti nad 999,0 % mohou být stanoveny Diferenční metodou s použitím ICP-OES (ISO 15096).
Tato metoda je určena jako referenční metoda pro stanovení ryzosti ve slitinách, na které se vztahuje norma ISO 9202
