EN 50525-2-11 platí na ohybné káble s termoplastickou (PVC) izoláciou a káble s plášťom z PVC.Káble sú na menovité napätia U0/U do 300/500 V vrátane.Káble sú určené na pripájanie domových spotrebičov na pevnú napájaciu sieť.Do normy sú zahrnuté kruhové a ploché káble.Maximálne pracovné teploty jadra kábla v tejto norme sú 70 °C (VV typy) a 90 °C (V2V2 typy).
