Táto medzinárodná norma opisuje energeticky disperznú röntgenovú fluorescenčnú skúšobnú metódu (EDXRF) na určovanie obsahu síry v automobilových benzínoch vrátane automobilových benzínov obsahujúcich do 2,7 % (hm.) kyslíka a v motorových naftách vrátane motorových náft obsahujúcich do 5 % (obj.) metylesteru mastných kyselín s obsahom síry v rozmedzí od 30 mg/kg do 500 mg/kg.
