Description / Abstract: This document specifies a micrographic method of determining the non-metallic inclusions in rolled or forged steel products having a reduction ratio of at least 3 using the images of a standard reference chart or direct measurement by image analysis technologies. The standard reference chart described in this document is not entirely applicable for certain types of steel (e.g. free cutting steels).
