Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Schutzkappen für feste Steckverbinder in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit Schraubkupplung fest. Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 2 festgelegte Klasse. Hinsichtlich der zu diesen Schutzkappen zugehörigen festen Steckverbinder, siehe EN 2997-003 bis EN 2997-007.
