This specification established the minimum performance and mechanical requirements and the testing and qualification procedures for aviation jet fuel filter/separators with flow rates ranging up to 9500 liters per minute (2400 gallons per minute). The specification also defines procedures to qualify filter/separators with and without multi-stages. The most significant amendment to the previous edition is the modification of the test fuel chemistries for Category C, M and M100 testing.
