Tato část ISO 18857 specifikuje metodu stanovení vybraných alkylfenolů, jejich ethoxylátů a bisfenolu A v nefiltrovaných vzorcích pitné, podzemní, povrchové a odpadní vody metodou plynové chromatografie s hmotnostně spektrometrickou detekcí (GC-MS) po extrakci tuhou fází a derivatizaci. Metoda je použitelná v pracovním rozsahu od 0,005 _g/l do 0,2 _g/l pro 4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)fenol (OP) a jeho mono- (OP1EO) a diethoxylát (OP2EO), od 0,03 _g/l do 0,2 _g/l pro 4-nonylfenol (směs izomerů) (NP) a jeho mono- (NP1EO) a diethoxylát (NP2EO), a od 0,05 _g/l do 0,2 _g/l pro bisfenol A (BPA). V závislosti na matrici je tato metoda použitelná také pro odpadní vody v pracovním rozsahu od 0,1 _g/l do 50 _g/l pro OP, OP1EO, OP2EO a BPA a od 0,5 _g/l do 50 _g/l pro NP, NP1EO a NP2EO
