IEC 62271-213:2021 is applicable to the voltage detecting and indicating system (VDIS) to be installed on indoor and outdoor high-voltage equipment. The VDIS as defined by this document includes a coupling system per phase (capacitive, resistive coupling or other technology) to connect to live parts (main circuit). This first edition cancels and replaces the first edition of IEC 61243-5 published in1997 and the first edition of IEC 62271-206 published in 2011. This edition constitutes a merging of the content of IEC 61243-5 and IEC 62271-206. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous editions of IEC 61243-5 and IEC 62271-206: a) an optional output signal is defined to be used for multipurpose use cases; b) only one interface is defined for voltage detecting and indicating system (VDIS); c) the measurement of the current carrying capacity of the voltage limiting element is considered as inaccurate and is not considered in this document. The experience shows that a probability of the failure of the coupling element is negligible. L’IEC 62271-213:2021 s’applique au systeme detecteur et indicateur de tension (VDIS) a installer sur des equipements haute tension pour installation a l’interieur et a l’exterieur. Le VDIS defini par le present document comprend un systeme de couplage par phase (couplage capacitif, resistif ou d’une autre technologie) assurant la connexion avec les parties actives (circuit principal). Cette premiere edition annule et remplace la premiere edition de l’IEC 61243-5 parue en 1997 et la premiere edition de l’IEC 62271-206 parue en 2011. Cette edition est issue de la fusion de l’IEC 61243-5 et de l’IEC 62271-206. Cette edition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport aux editions precedentes de l’IEC 61243-5 et l’IEC 62271-206: a) un signal de sortie facultatif est defini pour etre utilise dans les cas d’utilisation generale; b) une seule interface est definie pour le systeme detecteur et indicateur de tension (VDIS); c) le mesurage de la capacite de courant admissible dans le dispositif limiteur de tension est considere comme etant inexact et n’est pas traite dans le present document. L’experience demontre que la probabilite d’une defaillance de l’element de couplage est negligeable.
